Job title: Project Manager - Engineering
Reporting to: Head of Engineering, UK
Location: Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk
Hours: 40 hours per week (12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

The Opportunity

The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of key business projects, ensuring they are technically fit for purpose and meet the statutory requirements.

What you’ll be doing

The duties and tasks involve the following:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Resource scheduling and management.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation through a structured project management approach.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
• Regularly report to site management as needed, escalating issues where required.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Regular presence on site to interface with contractors/vendors and internal stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• PMP / PRINCE II certification or equivalent project management qualification
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience as a project manager in the engineering and manufacturing sector with a proven track record.
• Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in arrangement, negotiation and management of contracts using industry and company specific templates.
• Experience of working with CDM regulations.
• Experience of working at a top tier COMAH site would be advantageous.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
