What do you do at Treatt?
I work with so many great people from all over the business, with the end goal of finding processes and procedures that lead to an amazing customer experience. I feel most accomplished when I’ve empowered my team members with the resources and knowledge to truly own their role.
How did you get started as a customer service supervisor?
I had previous experience in business management, sales, and training. I began my career at Treatt as the Inside Sales Representative. At that time, the role was evolving with the business needs. Because of this, I learned a great deal about many different systems and functions of the business, as well as the commercial perspective. When the need arose for a new Customer Service Supervisor, I was offered the chance to put many of my ideas into play. Fast forward 6 years, and I am so proud of the team I get to work with and the relationships we have built with our customers.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is creating connections. Sometimes this means helping a new-hire connect the dots on a process. Sometimes this means connecting a customer to a product that perfectly fits their need. Sometimes this means bridging gaps between departments who may not have always understood one another. Or it could mean encouraging someone to bring their ideas to the table. Making these connections is what drives the business forward, and that is ultimately what fuels me.
What would you say to someone thinking of joining the team at Treatt?
I would say that there are always going to be challenges with any job but to find a company that truly strives to live its values and take care of its people, well…that makes all the difference. And even though we work hard, I can promise we play even harder!
What’s your favourite drink?
I like unique and inventive flavour combinations, so I love to see what local cocktail artists are whipping up. When at home, I love a good glass of Shiraz.
