The Marketing Manager is accountable for the Group’s marketing output and performance across all company locations. This includes the development and governance of the global brand and cross-channel tactical activity resulting from a multi-region strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize market research and customer insight to support the global sales strategy, as well as product development.
• Devise and deliver a product marketing program to grow revenue in key categories/segments.
• Execute the global marketing strategy and tactical communications schedule in support of the Group’s business objectives, in line with Vision 2027.
• Drive departmental growth alongside Insights and Creative leads.
• Oversee the successful delivery of subsequent tactical communications activity across the website, social media, search engines, trade PR, advertising, email marketing, direct mail, exhibitions, events and seminars.
• Drive effective marketing automation through Salesforce/Pardot.
• Deliver consistent stream of marketing qualified leads to regional sales teams.
• Develop and govern our internal/external brand identity and value proposition in all key marketplaces, including our corporate and employer brand identity.
• Develop and deliver a marketing reporting system to demonstrate ROI and drive continuous improvement of marketing performance.
• Ensure all sales staff and agents are fully supported with relevant assets for their customer base.
• Manage all trade PR communications for the Group.
• Represent and present on behalf of the department and company.
• Manage annual global marketing budget.
• Identify and action opportunities to support new customer acquisition.
• Identify and action opportunities to improve customer engagement and retention
• Champion operational excellence, introducing the best technologies, tools and processes to serve the needs of the business.
• Work closely with commercial and product management teams to deliver effective product-based marketing materials, as well as supporting new launches.
• Explore how AI and machine learning can enhance marketing effectiveness.
• Regular travel to customers, suppliers, events, and other Treatt sites.
• Invest in long-term professional development, both as a marketer and manager.
• Ad hoc project work and effective management of outsourced agencies/suppliers.

Education & Training

• Marketing degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a marketing manager role.
• Professional qualification and proven skills development in marketing specialty.
• Considerable experience in digital marketing, including CRM.

Knowledge & Experience

• Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
• Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.
• Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools.

Skills & Abilities

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term marketing plans aligned with the company’s goals. Understanding market trends, competition, and customer behavior. Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges and pivot strategies.
• Digital Marketing Expertise: Knowledge of SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media strategies, email marketing, and PPC advertising. Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Market) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics). Understanding of mobile and web analytics, A/B testing, and user journey mapping.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Ability to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts through KPIs and metrics. Skills in analyzing customer data to draw actionable insights (e.g., customer segmentation, conversion rates). Familiarity with data visualization tools and statistical analysis.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders. Ability to create compelling marketing messages that resonate with target audiences. Collaborating with sales, product development, and creative teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
• Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing campaigns that capture attention. Understanding of brand storytelling and building a consistent brand identity. Encouraging a culture of experimentation (e.g., new formats, channels, or partnerships).
• Project Management: Skills in managing multiple marketing projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Monday.com). Setting clear timelines, budgets, and deliverables for campaigns.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors. Ability to design campaigns that engage customers at every touchpoint of their journey. Skills in personalizing marketing messages for various customer segments.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to adapt to fast-paced changes in marketing technologies, consumer behavior, and market trends. Resilience in dealing with campaign failures or changes in business direction.
• Budgeting and Financial Acumen: Skills in managing marketing budgets and maximizing ROI. Understanding how to allocate resources effectively across various marketing channels.
