Job title: TEMPORARY PROCESS CONTROL MANAGER – MATERNITY LEAVE COVER
Reporting to: GLOBAL QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Location: Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk
Hours: 40 hours per week
The objective of this role is to be responsible for the day to day functions of the process control team ensuring that all service levels are achieved with the teams key stakeholders. You will also be responsible for supporting the team in their personal development along with any day to day personnel issues.

What you’ll be doing
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to :
• Lead the distillation control team leader, senior manufacturing support analyst and formulation control analysts:
o Conducting weekly catch ups
o Leading recruitment
o Aiding in development and objective setting alongside the Global Quality Control Manager
o Handling issues
o Overseeing daily workloads/duties
o Accountability for output and performance
o Organising training
• Be the primary point of contact for all issues in relation to formulation control:
o Investigating internal product failures and providing route causes along with preventative measures.
o Managing stock on B hold to ensure agreed KPI is met.
o Supporting the team to ensure aged stock is utilised.
o To provide sufficient resource to enable blending instructions to be sent to planning within the agreed service levels and update lead times as required.
• Support the distillation control team leader with any day to day and personnel issues.
• Assist with customer audits in relation to the process control team
• Write, review and maintain the department’s risk assessments and SOPs
• Look to make continuous improvements to aid the cost reductions and efficiency of the department.
• Using your initiative and judgement to make improvements to working practice within the laboratories.

Ideally you will have a degree in a science related discipline or significant experience in a science related industry. Experience of managing a team in a fast-paced environment is essential. You will have the ability to communicate in clear, concise, persuasive language both verbally and in writing with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to lead, manage, motivate and influence teams and colleagues.
