Season of giving

group shot season of giving

Supporting the communities in which we work has always been important to us at Treatt, and different parts of the business constantly look for new ways to give back.

Our technical managers reached out to Davers Court, a care home in the centre of Bury St Edmunds, this month. With Christmas approaching, the team discovered that some of the residents didn’t receive any presents on Christmas Day. The home had also been attempting to raise funds for an iPad for the residents, but were struggling.

Our team leapt at the chance to help out. They set up a donation centre at our UK office and invited Treatt staff to give what they could, which resulted in over 100 presents for the care home in just a few days.

A Christmas Pop Up shop at our UK office was also launched, with proceeds going towards that iPad! In addition to the shop, the technical managers went round our headquarters making tea and coffee for their colleagues in exchange for a donation! These fundraising initiatives proved very popular indeed and raised £200.

Once our Senior Leadership Team heard of the work to raise funds, they agreed that the company would match the money raised. This enabled the technical managers to buy the iPad and arrive at the care home with enough presents for all the residents nearly two times over!

In just over a week, the people at Treatt really came together to make a real difference to people in our community.
