REPORTING TO: Technical Compliance Manager
BUSINESS FUNCTION: Technical Compliance
LOCATION: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Do you get a thrill from getting the work done, look at new ways of doing things and providing customers with only the highest level of service? If you’re nodding right now, then we might be just what you’ve been looking for – so read on.
What it’s like to work here
We’ve been making the world taste better since 1886 and sell over 3000 products in more than 90 countries, but we’re only just getting started. We’re on an exciting journey and have ambitious plans to become the indispensable partner of choice for the world’s leading flavour and fragrance houses, beverage and consumer brands.
On joining Treatt, you’ll become one of over 300 international experts, working together to collectively surprise and delight our customers. Nothing is more important to us than the happiness of our people as without them, we’d never succeed.
Technical Compliance is a business critical function which ensures that all our customers have the technical information they require to purchase and use our products in their existing or new launch products across a varied application field which starts at soft drinks and ends in shampoo or face cream. The team focuses on the timely and accurate provision of this key function and work alongside Customer Services to provide expert technical advice and information to our customers as well as internal technical documentation and product knowledge service within the business.
We overcome challenges, always looking for the better way, working together as one big team to ensure the first class technical customer service is delivered to all our customers.
What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for a bright and ambitious Product Certification Coordinator to join our team.
You will be heavily involved in Kosher and Halal administration processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining product and raw material status on the company’s JDE system and for keeping the Treatt portal up to date. Approval of transport tankers, preparing declarations and other manually produced documentation required by our customers and providing technical support to the purchasing, sales and planning department will also be part of your role.
You must be able to effectively and efficiently communicate and cooperate with internal, external customers and suppliers on problem solving and projects which require technical input and be a self-starter with strong continuous improvement drive. We look to develop the role further to support our Quality Assurance function as well, so there is a plenty of potential to learn and do new things as well. Project work will also be part of your role.
What we’re looking for
If you have a genuine passion for what you do and want to work in an environment that celebrates progress, teamwork and dedication, you’re what we’re after.
We want you to love your work and bring that energy to the job every day, no matter what the task. You’ll be someone who keeps up to date with the latest product knowledge and is always willing to share their knowledge and skill with colleagues.
Our department is busy. We need someone who can run with the pack but also bring their own personality to their work and step up to challenge whatever it is.
You should be personable, friendly and supportive, acknowledging that you’ll get to work with colleagues from all seniority levels across all departments on a daily basis.
What we’ll do for you
We have a pretty impressive benefits package that’s designed to look after you and your career during your time with us. With everything from private healthcare and life assurance to holiday buy back and share schemes, we’ve got you covered.
