The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving Treatt North America's sales growth across the marketplace. You'll start by getting to know the business inside and out, from our products and their many applications to our customers and the service philosophy that sets Treatt apart. What you’ll be doing

  • Perform customer service and sales functions for existing and new customers.
  • Manage existing business within the assigned customers and develop new growth opportunities
  • Provide regular, comprehensive description of sales activity, bi-weekly communication with the Head of Supply Chain Management and Treatt USA support staff (verbal and written report)
  • Attend the Quarterly Sales meetings and present sales activity and customer updates to the team.
  • Using your findings, prepare research and reports for the Sales Team to support potential product expansion with existing customers and the development of new customer relationships
  • Maintain solid relationships with customers’ purchasing organizations and interact with customer’s R&D by submitting material on a regular basis and following up on sample submissions.
  • Maintain timely and accurate data input in the JD Edwards global resource planning system and follow customer orders through JD Edwards to proactively identify any issues and promptly communicate to customer.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries regarding orders, product information, pricing, inventory availability and shipping.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, accurately update JDE resource planning system and provide production personnel with all necessary order and shipping information and documentation.
  • Liaise with our Regulatory Department to provide customers with requested certifications and documentation such as Kosher certificates, etc.
  • Accurately maintain customer files and various forms of documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain various internal reports.
  • Liaison with various departments including sales, lab and production personnel to ensure the delivery of quality customer service and support
  • Act in the best interest of Treatt USA and RC Treatt at all times
  • Manage and track sales orders through Salesforce, ensuring accuracy, timely updates, and effective communication between sales, production, and customer service teams.
  • All other as assigned.

What we’re looking for

  • Associates degree or 5 years prior experience in a customer service business to business or Inside sales role required with experience in the ingredients or food industry.
  • Current knowledge of ERP systems such as JDE or SAP or Sales Force.
  • Strong attention to detail, specifically in the areas of product documentation and labelling
  • Ability to use various spreadsheets, word-processing and database computer software
  • Strong computer and database navigation and management skills
  • Strong customer service, prioritization and time management skills
  • Understand of basic chemistry principals (nomenclature) a plus
  • Superior relationship building skills
  • Skilled communication both written and orally
  • May be required to travel on an Ad Hoc basis.
