Cleaning up the community

The Treatt team in Lakeland, Florida, have been busy giving back to the local area this month. A team of 12 staff across a range of departments took to the road as part of the Department of Transportation’s ‘Adopt-A-Highway’ program.

The team met, bright and early, at 8am for a spot of breakfast and a bit of training on what to expect from working on our stretch of road. It was a beautiful day to get some exercise, hang out with each other and give back to the community.

In just over three hours the team collected two tyres, a shopping cart, a fishing pole and tens of bags of rubbish. Other notable finds included a mobile phone and a driver license belonging to a man in Nova Scotia, over 3,000km away.

We’ll be out and about again after Christmas – so watch this space.
