Our founder, Richard Court Treatt, began trading in essential oils on Bond Street, London

1906

Lavender oil from Spain becomes our first commercial import

1913

Treatt becomes a limited company

1971

We establish our headquarters in the market town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England

1989

Treatt PLC is listed on the London Stock Exchange

1990

We establish our USA facility in Haines City, Florida, grounding ourselves in the heart of the US citrus belt, perfectly situated to serve our growing US customer base

1996/97

We launch our innovative Treattarome® processing technology and our journey in better-for-you products begins with the launch of our first sugar reduction products

1998

We enter the tea market with our first tea ingredients

1999

We expand our UK facility, purchasing additional warehouse, office and production space

2001

We partner with UK-based Endeavour Speciality Chemicals and start our journey in high-impact and aroma chemicals

2002

We outgrow our US facility and move to a larger site in Lakeland, Florida

2006

We increase our presence in Asia, opening a sales office in Shanghai, China

2012

We set out our strategy for continued growth, putting people and culture at the heart of our business

We launch our defined company values

We highlight our focus on employee well-being with the launch of our ‘Think, Live, Be Well’ team

We enter the coffee market with the creation of our first coffee extracts
