Hours: Part-time 25 hours per week

What you’ll be doing
After training you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Maintaining chemical Inventory for the QC laboratory and purchase items necessary for routine and non-routine analysis
• Carrying out initial reviews on all samples coming into the laboratory, bulk, split and distribute to the relevant areas/lab personnel
• Washing up glassware
• Preparing reagents and standards for routine and non-routine analysis
• Maintaining QC retained sample library
• Ensuring that the working area in the laboratory is maintained in a clean and orderly condition
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who has GCSES in English, Maths and Science, experience of working within a laboratory environment would be an advantage but not essential. You will have a genuine passion for what you do and want to work in an environment that celebrates progress, teamwork and dedication.
Our department is busy. We need someone who can run with the pack but also bring their own personality to their work.
You should be personable, friendly and supportive, acknowledging that you’ll get to work with colleagues from all seniority levels across all departments on a daily basis.
