Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

What you’ll be doing
No two days will be the same so if you’re looking for a 9 to 5 desk job then this might not be the role for you! You’ll be using your technical expertise and continued professional learning to support colleagues both in the UK and globally with the following:
- Conducting installations, repairs and preventive maintenance to property, facilities, production-based plant, equipment and control systems
- Ensuring availability and reliability of our Upper Tier CoMAH site
- Developing ideas into conceptual engineering designs from first principles
- Providing design solutions and coordinating the production of schemes, drawings and assemblies
- Producing specifications for tasks and functions
- Producing technical reports and studies
- Identifying and responding to task variations through formal change control
- Liaising with external contractors working on site
- Developing and maintaining electrical engineering procedures
- Providing out of hours support as and when required
What we're looking for
You’ll be an excellent communicator who uses their expertise to secure the confidence of both the internal and external stakeholders that you work with. You’ll be a time served apprentice with formal qualifications at level 3 C&G or NVQ equivalent in an electrical discipline. You’ll be up to speed with current IEE regulations (17th edition) and have experience in working in industrial or commercial environments. You’ll be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and as a valued member of the team to diagnose and repair faults, interpret and create P&ID / wiring diagrams, electrical drawings and schematics and be an effective co-ordinator of onsite contractor works.
As a bonus you will be CompEx qualified with experience in working in hazardous areas and working with and understanding of PLC (management and programming). We’d also be very interested in hearing from people with both mechanical and electronics qualifications.
